The book was released in 2018 and is about me, a “forever” caregiver for David, my high school sweetheart, best friend, and spouse after he had a traumatic brain injury. David was not expected to survive his three brain surgeries in January 2005, but he DID! Triple YAY!
Prisoners without Bars: A Caregiver’s Tale is perfect for survivors of brain injury and their family and friends. It will also appeal to anyone who wants to curl up and read a heart-wrenching, yet sometimes hilarious love story.
